Delicious and healthy Asian chicken lettuce wraps that are easy to make.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 green onions, chopped (white and green parts separated)
- 1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts, drained and diced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or gluten-free alternative)
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated and washed
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and the white parts of the green onions. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add diced water chestnuts and stir to combine.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir well, letting everything simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce slightly reduces.
- Remove from heat and spoon the filling into butter lettuce leaves.
- Top with the green parts of the onions and serve immediately.
Notes
- This dish is low-carb and gluten-free if using a gluten-free soy sauce.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your spice preference.
