A delicious dessert combining the flavors of pecan pie and cake.
Ingredients

- 3 cups pecan halves
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 box yellow cake mix (about 15 oz)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, eggs, and corn syrup until smooth.
- Stir in pecan halves and pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pecan filling; do not stir.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix layer.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly at the edges.
- Let cool for 15 minutes before serving warm.
