Description

This herbed bread stuffing is a classic side dish perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 10 cups bread cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake at 375°F for 12 minutes until dry and lightly golden.
  2. Sauté celery and onion in olive oil for 6 minutes until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Combine bread, vegetables, herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix gently.
  4. Gradually pour in warm broth, stirring until evenly moist but not soggy.
  5. Bake in a greased dish at 375°F covered for 20 minutes, then uncover for 10 minutes until lightly crisp.

Notes
