Description

Create delicious French Dip Sliders with this easy recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef roast (chuck or top sirloin)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  2. Once seared, remove the beef from the skillet. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until they are soft and fragrant.
  3. Place the beef back into the skillet. Pour in the beef broth and add Worcestershire sauce and dried thyme.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Once cooked, remove the beef from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Shred the beef using two forks.
  6. Strain the broth to remove onion and garlic bits. Return the strained broth to the skillet and keep it warm.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half. Place the bottom halves of the buns on a baking sheet.
  8. Layer shredded beef evenly on the bottom halves of the slider buns. Top each with a slice of provolone cheese.
  9. Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the buns are warm.
  10. Remove from the oven. Serve the sliders warm with a side of the warm au jus for dipping.
