Description

Delicious Buffalo Chicken Fries topped with shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing, perfect for a crowd.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potatoes (or frozen fries)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • Chopped green onions or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. If using fresh potatoes, wash and peel them. Cut them into fries or wedges.
  2. Soak the Potatoes: Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Cook the Chicken: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for about 7-10 minutes per side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and shred the chicken with two forks.
  4. Add Buffalo Sauce: Toss the shredded chicken in buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Prepare the Fries: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using fresh potatoes, drain and pat them dry. Spread them out on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
  6. Bake the Fries: Bake the fries in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
  7. Assemble the Dish: Once the fries are done, layer them on a serving platter. Top with the buffalo chicken and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Melt the Cheese: Return the assembled platter to the oven for 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese melts.
  9. Add the Finishing Touches: Drizzle ranch or blue cheese dressing over the top and garnish with chopped green onions or parsley.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, use spicy buffalo sauce.
  • Frozen fries can also be used for a quicker preparation.
