Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted, for brushing)
  • nonstick spray (for air fryer)

Instructions

  1. Core and slice the apples into 1/4-inch thick rings. Peel if desired. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour and salt, one with eggs, milk, and vanilla whisked together, and one with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon (reserve the rest for dusting).
  3. Dip each apple ring into the flour, then the egg-milk mixture, then coat in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place coated rings on a tray.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with nonstick spray. Arrange rings in a single layer.
  5. Air fry for 5–7 minutes per side, flipping once, until golden and crisp.
  6. While hot, brush apple rings with melted butter and toss in the remaining cinnamon-sugar (1/3 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon) for a sparkling finish.
  7. Serve immediately while warm for best texture.
